Louisville Slugger Japaneese Catylyst

Elliot Cowan and her portrayal of Fitzwilliam Darcy

April 18 just my leisure, officially, and that anyone coming to say you do not take this as it should: P

I found this interview I decided to translate, because I was intrigued this modern Darcy Cowan has given us in Lost
in Austen

What was it that made you interested in the role of Mr. Darcy?

I wondered, really know this story, so well known, was writing in a new light by Guy Andrews. Put Mr Darcy, who is a literary landmark in the new circumstances, like a challenge and a great opportunity not to be missed.

What preparation did you do for the role?

read Pride and Prejudice and did some research on the history of this period, the characters and artwork. I also saw interpretation Collin Firth Mr Darcy, because I think there are some references in Lost in Austen, to the representation that had a profound effect on the country's conscience.

How do you compare to your Mr. Darcy with that of your predecessors?

I've only played Darcy starting from a dead line. For me it was important to mask a certain vulnerability in him.

What Price Amanda compares with Elizabeth Bennet?

women are independent, honest and direct. Darcy seen in a very proud and arrogant man and their frustration with him is very similar. Amanda has the advantage of having read the book in order to anticipate the decisions, choices and dialogue, even that Darcy is about to say before it happens.

What does Amanda Price Mr Darcy?

Initially, Mr. Darcy suspect much of Amanda, but in a subconscious level, he finds intriguing and attractive. A man of his condition is not in touch with their emotions, so I think it is under pressure to remain impartial. It takes a long time to be too harsh with her.

How Mr. Darcy feels about Amanda's presence in your world?

He stands by and your comments, at a minimum. One of the characteristics of Darcy is to protect others, especially to Charles Bingley that encourages away from Amanda.

What are the motivations of Mr. Darcy?

Darcy believes that everything must have a social order.
I think he has a great need to reach the marriage and have a soul mate, but his attitude toward this and professional feel resigned.

How Mr. Darcy feels about the Bennet family?

From the beginning, Mr. Darcy makes it clear that views them as greedy opportunists, false and vulgar.

Tell us about the relationship of Mr. Darcy with Captain Wickham

Their relationship comes from many years of conflict and disappointment. They are opposites, Darcy is very proud to support their values, Wickham seems to have underlined and deleted.

In the series, Mr. Darcy is a copy of Amanda Pride and Prejudice. How to deal with this?

is an exceptional discovery. Darcy is fully aware that history is written, for what he believes is a satirical magazine that is published and spoken in society. He believes that this is a complete erosion of trust, friendship and hospitality that Amanda has received.

How do you find playing against Jemima Rooper?

was wonderful. Jemima is full of energy and is very creative. I'm glad that when we met, we had the right chemistry. Our acting styles are very different and therefore we were able to challenge each other.

What is your most memorable moment from filming?

was while we were filming last November. Fortunately, it was a beautiful day, blue sky, but I had to swim and dive into the water to 7 degrees with nothing but my shirt and pants, while declaring my undying love. It was all I could do to stop my teeth chattering.

Tell us about the places used for Lost in Austen.

I have enjoyed working in Yorkshire. I personally thought we were all very fortunate to be out on the horizon beautiful, stately gardens of some exceptional. Being able to walk around these beautiful properties was a privilege.

What's next for you after Lost in Austen?

I'm in a play called The Tragedy of the avenger at the National Theatre.
